  25. Well, assuming you've modified the cols80.bat and cols132.bat files 
  26. according to the instructions (this requires device-dependent programs.  
  27. probably not something you want to impliment unless your users have 
  28. identical video cards), the command:

  30. set terminal compressed-text text
  31.  
  32. will force kermit to use the batch files to switch text mode to 132 
  33. columns.  If this is not used, Kermit assumes that you want the graphics 
  34. monitor to emulate 132 column text.  The emulation only allows for 128 
  35. columns, though, so you'll lose the last 4 cols.
